Proverbs 13:12 says "Hope deferred makes the heat sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life."Well the picture above is lastnight's dinner. It's an Omaha steak burger topped with grilled onions and mushrooms, mashed sweet potatoes, and steamed brocolli. I made it for my mother and I, but come to find out, my mother went out to dinner lastnight, so I was forced to dine alone. I was a little disappointed because she called home and I told her I had made dinner, but she was with a co-worker who wanted to go out to eat. So, they went out to eat, and I was left with the company of me, myself, and I. They never disappoint.
I guess I was hoping that she would walk through the door and say, as she always does when something is cooking, "Oooo something smells good!" Even though I most likely wouldn't have shown it on my face, it would've made me a little happy.
Anyway, the food turned out REALLY good. Imma definitely have to make that again once I get back to school. Tahkina should be pleased. She LOVES onions :). I miss her...
